vet-er-uh n | Veteran

[vet-er-uh n] -noun

1. Person who wrote a Blank Check payable to the United States of America for an amount of up to and including One's Life.

including one's life.. let that sink in

Did you know that the US is one of many countries whose Military is strictly volunteer?

Did you also know that there are many other countries whose Military is mandatory, also known as conscription?

Did you also know that China's military is a hybrid of the two?

Long before we gave a full month to every creed, religion, race, sexual orientation, disease, or food - yes, even food... there were just days that were given to nationally recognized feats of many.

Veterans Day is one of them.

Established in 1938 to honor those who fought in WW1, it was changed in 1954 to honor all Veterans.  It's my hope for the future, that we can have more than just one day to appreciate and nationally recognize our Veterans.

Monday, November 11, will be Veterans Day.  It is also my hope that many will fly their American Flag's outside for more than just one day.  Our Veterans deserve so, so much more.. especially those whose Blank Checks were paid in full.

RIP, Chris Pike, Marc Lee, Rob Guzzo, and so many more.

For all those who have served, thank you for your service, I am eternally grateful.

Have a grateful weekend!
